I believe in NEVER GIVING UP... You never know what tomorrow may hold!

As a small child our family traveled all over, as my dad wanted to be a Country Western singer. I grew up making up stories about the places we visited and the people we met.

My parents eventually divorced and my mother took me back to her home state of Texas. I grew to love many things, including my fondness of horses, dogs, boots and wide open spaces.

Even at an early age I was driven. I really caught the writing bug when I took a creative writing course in high school simply to help me graduate early.

I was always organized and a perfectionist, sometimes too a fault. I believe that came from my mom, which was really helpful when I enlisted in the United States Navy. I enlisted primarily to be a welder and firefighter. Back in those days there weren't very many women in those roles. However I did not limit myself and was lucky enough to have filled many varied roles before my unintended exit from the Navy.

My Naval career came to a halt due to a serious accident which lead me to reevaluate my life. With that being said; it brought me back to the Midwest where my life was forever changed.

I've lived through many of life's trials. Losing my son brought me to my knees, but it also finally made me want to put myself out into the world and help others. After my sons passing I started journaling again and found my passion for writing. It lit my soul on fire as if my son was blowing on the flames from heaven.

After the loss of my son, I was lost for many different reasons. Therefore I thought it was time to invest in a pet and companion, after some research I decided on a Mini Australian Shepherd. Levi is a bright light in my life in so many different ways. Levi and I visit a local elderly home when we can, as he loves people!

My current work is regarding obstacles faced in life. A true testament of what it means to NEVER GIVE UP!

All Charley really had were memories. Memories from her childhood of being on her own. She had taken care of herself most of her life, so it was no surprise when she came home and her mother was gone. Even at the early age of fifteen she knew where she came from and where she wanted to go. She had always learned to adapt quickly in whatever circumstances she found herself in. Charley learned fast and was able to do most things very easily, almost too easily. The only question was, how would she get what she needed and to where she wanted to go?

Charley only remembered bits and pieces from her childhood, but she was reintroduced to her father after her mother abandoned her. It was nice to finally meet him, however she was in for the shock of her life! After learning everything about his side of the family, she knew she had to bide her time until she could put her plan in motion to escape this lifestyle.

Growing up on her own Charley never relied on anyone but herself, but she couldn't help thinking there was something more out there for her. She could sense it and almost feel it calling to her. All the things that stood in Charley's way were just detours, as she knew she would never give up no matter what! Her motto had always been never give up! There's always a way!

Little did Charley know that her life would take her around the world with the U.S.Navy. Meet her husband, have children of her own and make many friends from all over the world. Overcome serious physical obstacles and literally fight for her life.

Charley would use her motto NEVER GIVE UP for many things!
